Nick Rushton

Nick Rushton MA Vet MB MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Nick was born in Chapel-en-le-Frith, and grew up on a farm in the hills above Bollington. He qualified from Cambridge University Veterinary School in 1994, initially working mainly as a large animal veterinary surgeon before concentrating on small animals. Nick spent two years abroad working in Australia and New Zealand, before returning to settle in Bollington. He lives locally with his wife Hazel and children Georgina and Joseph.

Mandi Theaker BVSc Cert SAD MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Mandi Qualified from Liverpool University in 1988 and attained a certificate in Veterinary Dermatology {skin disease} in 1992. Mandi lives in Bollington with her Demott and daughter Emily along with an assortment of creatures including tropical fish, 2 cats and 3 goldfish.. Mandi has been working with us since November 2003.

Liz Batt BVCs MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Liz qualified from Bristol University in 1989 and obtained a GP certificate in Feline Medicine in 2005. She lives just outside Buxton with 2 cats, 2 rescue dogs and her husband. Liz enjoys horse riding and in 2006 became British and English Veteran Fell Running Champion.

Wendy Orchard RVN MBVNA

Head Veterinary Nurse

Wendy has been Vet Nursing since 1988 and has lived and worked in various places up and down the country. At home she lives with her husband Darren and daughter Summer, Coco the cat and 2 rescued rabbits Dizzy and Daffy

Rachel Gibson RVN MBVNA

Veterinary Nurse

A fully qualified veterinary nurse since 1999, Rachel is also a qualified Pet Insurance Advisor and Pet Nutritional Advisor. She is a keen horse rider, she lives locally with her husband Jim and her sons Matthew and Jack, Wallace the cat and Poppy the Labrador. Rachel has been working with Nick since the start of Bollington Vets in March 2003.

Sally Egerton RVN MBVNA

Veterinary nurse

Sally started her career as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse here at Bollington in 2005. She has since worked at a specialist referal practice and a Veterinary hospital where she gained valuable experince and became a fully qualified nurse. Sally returned to us in 2011 and lives in Bollington with her Husband Ste, 2 cats Jack and Teddy B and Babbit the rabbit.

Jane Moriarty

Trainee Nurse Level 3 diploma

Jane joined the practice in February 2008, she has always had a keen interest in animals and changed career to pursue her interest. Jane lives with her partner Mike and Doberman Zac. She loves walking, camping and horse riding

Sammy Taylor

Trainee Veterinary nurse

Sammy recently joined the practice in September 2011 after completing her AS levels in on order to purse the career of veterinary nursing. She has 3 dogs, Ollie,Jenny and Suzie and has a keen interest in animals. Sammy enjoys hill walking and helping out on her family's farm.

Kate Gaskell

Head Receptionist

Kate has been nursing animals since 1991 and is a Pet Health Councillor. Kate started at Bollington Vets shortly after we opened in 2003. She lives in Bollington with her partner Rick, her daughter Charlotte, Rick's son Jack and rescue dog Woody, plus an assortment of other small animals. She has a keen interest in horse riding, canoeing and hill walking and motorbikes.

Briony Horton

Receptionist

Briony joined the practice in September 2008 as a trainee Veterinary nurse and then later settled into the role of Veterinary receptionist. She has a an animal science degree amongst other animal care qualifications. Briony lives locally with her cat Sooty and rat Marley

Clare Quigley

Receptionist

Clare has worked at the practice since March 2003 as a part time receptionist. She is a Pet Insurance Advisor and holds certificates in pet nutrition. She lives in Bollington with her husband, three daughters and the family guinea pigs and hamsters and enjoys walking, baking and reading.

Jill Farman

Receptionist

Jill joined the practice in 2007 as an evening receptionist. She lives locally with her husband Keith. She also works voluntarily for Cream (a local cat rescue association) providing invaluable help rescuing and rehoming unwanted cats and kittens.
